SAMPLE TRIP ITINERARY

DAY ONE - LISBON

Olá Portugal, we've arrived 💁🏽‍♀️. First order of business: drop our bags and freshen up at The Lisboans.

Next, we’ll sync up with Vanessa Teodoro (a.k.a. The Super Van) - a super cool South African artist based in Lisbon. You’ll see the city through her eyes, as she guides us on a street art tour. Don’t worry - you’ll get to leave your mark, too. Vanessa has a wall and spray paint ready to teach you how to graffiti (#lifegoals complete?).

For dinner, we'll head to Lisbon-hot spot, Prado Restaurante. You’ll feast on a tasting menu paired with wines by Portugal’s top female winemakers. Best part? Our hotel is just upstairs, so beauty sleep is right around the corner.

Meals included: light lunch, dinner

DAY TWO - LISBON

You’re officially out of office, so breakfast in bed seems like the perfect way to celebrate, don’t you think?

Now, it’s time to work off the jet lag (and maybe the vinho from last night?). We hope you packed your sneakers, because we’re heading on a foraging expedition led by Portugal’s resident cocktail star, Constança Cordeiro. We’ll hike through an urban forest to collect ingredients for a cocktail making class later in the afternoon.

After a picnic lunch in the wilderness, we’ll migrate to Constança’s bar, Toca da Raposa, for a private mixology class using the ingredients we found that day. The evening will be yours to explore the city’s restaurants & nightlife.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY THREE - LISBON

Today is all. about. the. food. And we’re learning from the best of the best, Ana Viçoso, owner and head chef at The Lisbon Cooking Academy.

Ana’s taking us to her favorite market to pick up seasonal ingredients and teach us everything we ever needed to know about Portugal’s food history. (Fun fact: did you know that the English royals started drinking tea because of a Portuguese princess?!)

Back at her kitchen, we’ll roll up our sleeves and learn how to make a typical Portuguese lunch (and then we’ll eat it, of course). The late afternoon and evening will be yours to see the rest of Lisbon.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY FOUR - ALENTEJO

Today, we’re breaking free from city life and heading to the breathtaking region of Alentejo. During our drive, you’ll spot more 🍊and 🍋trees than your mind can handle! Have no fear, we won’t miss a chance to stop and pick some.

Our destination is the insta-famous São Lourenço do Barrocal farmhouse hotel, and we’re here for a little self care. Work on your tan by the pool. Get a massage. Take a nap in the grass. Pedal a bike through the rolling countryside. The day is yours.

We’ll meet as a group for a delicious alfresco meal and Portuguese wine pairing at Barrocal’s farm restaurant.

Meals included: breakfast, dinner

DAY FIVE - PORTO

Before departing for the coastal city of Porto, we’ll enjoy a scrumptious farm-to-table breakfast on the terrace at São Lourenço do Barrocal. Warning: you might shed some tears when you have to leave this magical place (we do - every single time).

Once we arrive in Porto, we’ll check in at Duas Portas Townhouse. You’ll have a few hours to relax or wander before dinner.

What’s on the menu, you ask? Well that’s up to serial-entrepreneur Patricia Sousa. She’ll be curating a private dinner for our group. You’ll get to meet and chat with her throughout the evening.

Meals included: breakfast, dinner

DAY SIX - PORTO

The morning is yours to sleep in or tour some of Porto’s sights.

In the afternoon, we’ll head on a quirky art & design tour curated by women-led Talkie Walkie especially for Wild Terrains. Get ready for a day filled with museums, galleries and conversations with creative women.

In the evening, we’ll embark on a culinary crawl with Lucia from The Portuguese Affair. One of our stops is an Anthony Bourdain favorite.

Meals included: breakfast, dinner

DAY SEVEN - PORTO

You can’t visit Portugal without visiting wine country. Today’s the day for a day trip to Douro Valley. We’ll tour some wineries, drink plenty of wine, and get to know some female winemakers of the region. If you visit during harvest season, you may even get to help pick some grapes off the vines.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY EIGHT - LISBON

Time to head back to Lisbon! We’ll have an early breakfast before we hop on a train together as a group. We’ll say our goodbyes once we arrive at the Lisboa Oriente train station. If you're planning to extend your stay in Portugal, we'll help you get to the right place (with some travel tips, of course!).

Meals included: breakfast
