Peru
7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS
Nowhere holds ancient and modern in the same hand quite like Peru: a chef rewriting Peruvian cuisine a few miles from terraces that have been farmed for centuries, sacred weaving traditions kept alive by women who still know every knot by name, and a Pachamama ceremony and a world-class dinner in a hidden restaurant you'd never find alone.
You'll move between the Sacred Valley, Cusco, and Lima through the eyes of female artists, designers, and chefs who know this place from the inside out. From ancient ruins rising out of the middle of a city to a sundowner at a Lima designer's home, we're here to make sure you don't miss a thing.

DAY ONE - SACRED VALLEY
We scoop you up from the Cusco airport and head straight for the Sacred Valley, the high-altitude region once at the center of Inca life, where ancient farming terraces, weaving traditions, and mountain villages still shape daily rhythms.
We welcome you the Wild Terrains way: with an al fresco picnic that makes you wonder why you don’t take more girls’ trips. Pisco punch at altitude = the world's fastest friendship formula.
Post-picnic, we make our way to Andenia Hotel, a peaceful oasis that feels like the sort of place you’d never find on your own. After settling into our rooms, we gather with local healer Marlis Ferreyros for a traditional Pachamama ceremony in the gardens, an Andean ritual that honors Mother Earth and the mountains that have watched over this valley for centuries.
The evening is yours to rest and recharge because we have big plans for you tomorrow.
Meals included: lunch
DAY TWO - SACRED VALLEY
Some days just have main character energy.
Our first stop: Alqa Museo in Ollantaytambo for a conversation with designer Johana Sarmiento, who spent years traveling across Peru learning weaving techniques, collecting stories, and preserving artworks from Indigenous communities before opening the museum. Barely marked and tucked into the hillside streets of town, Alqa feels less like a museum and more like being invited into the personal world Johana has created to safeguard Indigenous knowledge and craft.
Next, we board the Belmond Hiram Bingham: the glamorous train through the Andes that earns every bit of its reputation. Think: a gourmet lunch that holds its own against the scenery, old-world interiors that turn the journey into the destination, and a moody cloud forest slowly giving way to Machu Picchu. We explore the ruins with a Peruvian woman who has made this place her life's work before heading back to the train for dinner as the Andes catch the last of the daylight.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner
DAY THREE - SACRED VALLEY / Cusco
Today takes us 12,000 feet above sea level to chef Pía León’s celebrated restaurant beside the ancient circular terraces of Moray. MIL is many things at once: a world-class restaurant, a cultural project, a collaboration with local communities, growers, and makers across Peru.
We begin the morning with the Warmi collective, a group of women preserving ancestral weaving and natural dyeing practices in the Sacred Valley. A rare invitation into their homes gives us a closer look at how weaving, farming, and cooking remain deeply connected here. Then we sit down for lunch at MIL, a multi-course journey through Peru's mountains, forests, and high-altitude plains at a table that's worth every foot of altitude to reach.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Cusco and settle into Antigua Casona San Blas for a free evening to relax or wander the city’s cobblestone streets.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch
DAY four - cusco
Cusco stacks centuries on top of one another: Inca foundations, Spanish colonial architecture, and contemporary art all existing side by side. This morning we explore San Blas and the Plaza de Armas through the women who shaped it: the acllas who held real spiritual and political power in the Inca Empire, the revolutionary Micaela Bastidas who led the resistance against colonial rule, and Clorinda Matto de Turner, the writer who used literature to defend Indigenous voices when few others would. We end at San Pedro Market for lúcuma smoothies and fresh picarones dusted with sugar from two of our favorite Cusqueña sisters.
The afternoon is yours to get pleasantly lost among Cusco’s tiny alleyways and hidden courtyards.
Tonight, Dannia Palacín welcomes us to Oculto, her intimate restaurant hidden within the streets of Cusco, and you’ll understand why people can’t stop talking about it the moment you walk in. She kicks things off with a hands-on pisco sour experience before we settle in for inventive Peruvian dishes built around local ingredients, natural wines, and the kind of dinner party energy where nobody wants to be the first to leave.
Meals included: breakfast, dinner
DAY five - lima
Today we trade altitude for ocean air, flying from Cusco to Lima and settling into our seaside home, Villa Barranco.
This afternoon we gather on the hotel’s secret rooftop with artists from the Shipibo-Konibo community of Cantagallo, one of Lima's most significant Indigenous communities and one most visitors never encounter. We paint on tocuyo fabric using natural dyes and learn the stories behind kené, the sacred geometric patterns representing balance, healing, and the connection between nature and spirituality, passed down through generations of women in the Peruvian Amazon.
Tonight, chef and activist Karissa Becerra hosts us for a dinner party in Barranco. Turns out good food and good company are all it takes to make a city feel like home.
Meals included: breakfast, dinner
DAY seven - lima
We enjoy our last breakfast together before we head to the airport and say our goodbyes. You’ll head home with a full camera roll, a suitcase that weighs more than when you arrived, and a group chat that probably won’t go quiet anytime soon.
Meals included: breakfast
DAY six - lima
Today is for anyone who's ever justified buying an extra suitcase just to get everything home.
We step inside some of the city's coolest designer studios, and it quickly becomes clear why Lima has become one of Latin America's most exciting design cities. From Chiara Macchiavello's fashion atelier at ESCVDO to Lorena Pestana's sculptural jewelry studio, Lima's creative scene feels sophisticated and distinctly Peruvian.
Along the way, we'll have lunch with chef Arlette Eulert at Bruto and visit the ancient ruins of Huaca Pucllana, which rise unexpectedly from the middle of the city. The day ends at the home of fashion designer Susan Wagner for a private Wild Terrains sundowner: plenty of wine, artisanal bites, and one last golden-hour gathering in Lima.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, aperitivo

Weather
Peru’s weather changes dramatically depending on where you are. In the Sacred Valley and Cusco, expect warm sunny days, crisp mountain air, and cool nights once the sun goes down. Lima stays mild year-round, with cooler coastal air and the occasional moody gray morning. Layers are essential here, and you’ll be very happy you packed them.
