New Mexico

5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS

Over five days, we move between Santa Fe, Abiquiú, and Taos, tracing the stories and traditions that define this region’s unmistakable aesthetic. Craft jewelry alongside a Navajo designer, learn to fly fish on the Rio Grande, and gather for a desert picnic before stepping inside Georgia O’Keeffe’s iconic home. This is New Mexico at its most soulful, where art, landscape, and culture intertwine to create something entirely its own.

DAY ONE - SANTA FE

We’ve landed in Santa Fe, the magnetic desert town in the American Southwest where art is part of everyday life.

We’ll make ourselves at home at Palace Modern, a woman-owned stay nestled in the heart of the city, before heading to Moon Horse Ranch. Artist Stella Maria Baer gives us a studio and ranch tour, demonstrating how she works with earth and mineral pigments: iron rich reds, soft clays, and sun washed neutrals pulled from the desert itself - a raw palette that has drawn artists here for generations.

As the sun sets, we’ll gather for cocktails and an open fire dinner with chef Sofia Branco Kraft, set against that wide, desert sky. A first night of coming together, where conversation flows and everyone has a seat at the table.

Meals included: dinner

DAY TWO - SANTA FE

This morning we have a sensory date with designer Samantha Platero of Dineh Jewelry. A tea ceremony grounds us in place and tradition, before moving into a hands-on jewelry workshop rooted in generations of Navajo silversmithing and stonework.

Lunch is hosted by Samantha Ebenhoeh inside Oldies Flower Shop, a tucked away corner of Santa Fe that feels both local and special.

The afternoon is yours. Explore galleries and shops, or spend a few hours getting pleasantly lost among the adobe-lined streets. Santa Fe tends to reward curiosity.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY THREE - ABIQUIU & tAOS

After a relaxed morning, we’ll head north toward Abiquiú, where red rock formations and open desert shaped some of Georgia O’Keeffe’s most iconic work.

A picnic lunch is hosted by Sofia Branco Kraft in the landscape O’Keeffe returned to again and again. From there, we step inside Georgia O’Keeffe’s home for a rare look into her life here.

In the afternoon, we continue on to Taos and check into Hotel Willa, a woman-owned retreat set against the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The evening is yours to settle in, enjoy the sauna or pool, or have dinner at the hotel.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY four - taos

After breakfast, we head to the Rio Grande, one of the longest rivers in North America, where we’ll spend the morning with artist and fly fishing guide Sophia Smith, learning the basics of this meditative practice. She’ll also share her paintings of the trout she catches, a beautiful intersection of art and place. A packed picnic lunch will keep us riverside until the early afternoon.

In the evening, we’re invited to a special version of The Shed Project hosted by Maida Branch at her home just outside Taos. Maida’s world brings together Indigenous craft, food, and community. We’ll gather for a final dinner, a last night around the table to reflect on the past few days and celebrate the friendships formed along the way.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner

DAY five - tAOS

After one last breakfast together, we’ll pack our bags and say our goodbyes until next time.

So we're not just passing through, we're supporting women-led businesses, honoring Indigenous culture, and creating the kind of adventure that stays with you long after you've returned home.

When to Visit

New Mexico is at its best in late spring (May and June) and early fall (September and October). We skip the peak summer heat and visit when the high desert feels just right.

Weather

Expect warm, sun-filled days, cool mornings and evenings, and that signature high desert light. With 300+ days of sunshine a year, it’s the kind of weather that makes you want to be outside from morning to night.
