Ines PALMA

CO-OWNER, LOS CHULENGOS

MENDOZA, ARGENTINA

Meet Ines, co-owner of Los Chulengos - a historic ranch in the middle of the Andes mountains that has been with the Palma family for generations.

Today, Ines and her sisters Manuela and Ana manage the ranch, opening it up to tourists when their family isn’t using it as their gathering spot. Los Chulengos is one of our favorite places to enjoy a glass of Malbec and take in the Mendoza countryside. A true taste of traditional Argentine culture.

At the end of the day, we notice that we complement each other in our work, and our differences enrich us [...] I feel supplied and supported by my sisters. Working together made our relationship richer, more resilient and stronger

LEARN MORE ABOUT INES

1. LOS CHULENGOS IS LOCATED ON A BEAUTIFUL RANCH IN THE ANDES REGION OF ARGENTINA. HOW DOES THIS PLACE SHAPE THE ATMOSPHERE OF A GUEST’S STAY?

In this scenery you’ve just mentioned, surrounded by the untouched natural beauty of the Uco Valley, you will find us, the Palma sisters, expecting you on your arrival to Los Chulengos. A magically unique place, ideal for those who want to relax and rest, as well as the perfect place for the more adventurous.

2. WHAT IS IT LIKE FOR YOU TO CONTINUE IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS AND WORK WITH YOUR SISTERS AT THE RANCH?

I grew up and learned so many things working here, since I was 14 years old.  We’ve experienced the very best and the very worst of each other! But at the end of the day, we notice that we complement each other in our work, and our differences enrich us. I can’t imagine how hard the pressure to manage a working day by my self, alone, must be. I feel supplied and supported by my sisters. Working together made our relationship richer, more resilient and stronger. Spending whole days with my siblings is wonderful!

3. WHAT IS A SUBJECT THAT FASCINATES YOU? WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT?

Art and decoration, or, in practice, painting and styling interiors absolutely fascinates me! I am a designer and a painter. I enjoy researching information and pictures from all over the world. I mostly like topics related to nature, such as wild animals and botanicals. But I also like studying different country life styles, cultures and their architecture style.
