Mar Rescalvo

MENORCA

Mar Rescalvo was born in Menorca and brings a rich background in the arts, education, and cultural management. She holds dual degrees in Piano and Composition, as well as a degree in Sociology, and later earned a Master’s in Cultural Management from the University of Barcelona. Before joining Hauser & Wirth, Mar served as manager of the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra and led the artistic department at i-psy in Amsterdam. She also worked as a project consultant for WV Gallery and Jonkergouw KunstWerk. In addition, she collaborated with GAO Lletres—a cultural and educational organization—on art initiatives at Arts Santa Mònica and the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona), among others. Since 2017, she has been the director of Hauser & Wirth Menorca.
