Chiara Macchiavello's path has been shaped by a lifetime of deep connections with artisans across Peru's many regions and traditions. Thirteen years ago, driven by her identity as an artist and designer, she founded ESCVDO to share her vision of Conscious Creation rooted in Peru's textile heritage. As Creative Director, she oversees every garment from fiber to finished piece. She built ESCVDO as a sustainable project before the industry cared about sustainability, and her goal now is a fully circular business model and a wider network of collaborators nationwide. From the start, she's seen ESCVDO as a vehicle for creation, evolution, and positive impact.
